ICYMI-I got divorced this year (that’s also why I’ve been dormant here, there was just…uh… a lot going on, lol).

In addition to the bruised and broken heart, I was positively terrified about finances without the support of my former partner. It made the grieving process that much more complicated and nerve wracking, but I made it through, in no small part because of you.

More than ever, this year I am incredibly grateful to not only do what I love, but to be able to support myself independently because of it. It is not lost on me how much of a privilege it is to be able to make a living doing something I’m passionate about, and to not rely on anyone else to make it happen. OK, now to the shopping!

1. July Checked Trunk Set: I finally grew tired of pulling 34 other identical navy Away checked bags off the belt at baggage claim and realized I needed something more distinctive and am obsessed with these so far. I know they will get dinged up but I personally think a dinged up suitcase is chic and shows how well travelled you are (and they do make covers if you’re that makes you skin crawl)

2. Pet Libro Granary Smart Camera Feeder and Automatic Water Fountain Bundle: the only thing I have to say to sell you on this is that I was able to tipsily FaceTime my cat while out a few weekends ago and that was priceless

3. Flaus Electric Flosser Starter Kit: I am forever on a quest to get my dentist to be less angry with me so if an unnecessary gadget gets me there, it’s worth it

7. Boy Smells Magnum Candle in Ash: This is my go to status candle brand (sadly it seems they have discontinued their iconic Kush line but all their scents are amazing!) and they are on major saaaaleeee making the perfect hostess gift or “treat yoself” gift.

8. Déhanche Revenge Belt in Silver: A splurge but it feels like jewelry and makes even the most basic tank and jeans look feel *special* and the sale makes it a little more palatable. Hey, I said a little!

9. Alice Mushrooms Happy Ending Functional Mushroom Chocolates: These are pretty self explanatory and I’ll keep it PG 13 but these are WORTH IT. 🎆🎆🎆 (The Nightcap Deep Sleep Chocolates are equally effective)

10. Skatie Kahea Top & Kristen Bottom in Honey: This is not a wellness gift perse aside from the fact that daydreaming of my next seaside getaway is crucial to my fighting of the oncoming seasonal depression attack…and I am embracing the Gen Z full ass out lewk as a newly single millennial 😈
